Teacher of English 

West Coventry Academy is a co-educational, fully comprehensive school situated in large grounds in the South West of the city that welcomes and nurtures children from a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities.

We have high standards, encourage and support students in having high expectations of themselves.  A happy child is one that will blossom and so we want our students to enjoy their learning.  This is why we have a comprehensive extra-curricular program and an established and effective pastoral support system.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational qualified Secondary School teacher of English, to join our thriving and successful English Department.  The post would suit an experienced or newly qualified English teacher who is committed to teaching at the highest standard and raising aspirations and achievements of our students. 

You will be required to teach across the ability range in Key Stages 3 and Key Stage 4.  Experience of teaching A Level Language and Literature could be an advantage, but is not essential.

Hours: Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week) Shift work (various hours)
