Students need to:

Teachers will:

  • use ClassCharts every day to set work for their lessons
  • check school emails for communication from students (Office 365)
  • set detailed and specific work and clearly explain each lesson (as much as possible)
  • prioritise which units would need to be taught in class and which ones could be learned independently
  • use videos/podcasts that focus on the practical side of their subject and give constructive feedback on what students need to do next or how to improve
  • allow for consolidation and retrieval practice
  • use existing subscriptions and other websites: e.g. MathsWatch, LanguagePerfect, Seneca, Memrise, Quizlet, etc.

Parents need to:

  • help students manage their time/workload by using accessing ClassCharts or check via school website (see link above)
  • encourage students to keep to their school-day routine and follow their timetable to complete all work set
  • follow school updates and regularly check email, school website and social media (Twitter/Facebook)

WCA will:

  • keep students and parents informed via Email, school website and social media (Twitter/Facebook)
  • closely follow national guidance by Public Health England and the Department for Education
  • monitor the situation as it develops and make decisions with the safety of students and staff as its utmost priority
